Dr. Leslie HavardDr. Leslie Havard

Dr. Havard joined the Denver Skin Clinic in 2000 after completing a dermatology residency and immunodermatology fellowship at the University of Colorado.

Originally from New Zealand, she is a medical graduate of the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand.  Prior to medical school Dr. Havard trained as a Physical Education teacher, but elected to teach skiing both in Colorado and New Zealand and achieved full certification as a professional ski instructor.

As a board certified dermatologist, Dr. Havard enjoys practicing medical and surgical dermatology and seeing patients of all ages. Spare time activities revolve around a love of the outdoors, camping and hiking with llamas in the Colorado backcountry, trail running and skiing.  Enjoying good food and wine is a passion shared with her husband and friends.

 

Dr. Barbara ReedDr. Barbara Reed

Dr. Reed joined the Denver Skin Clinic in 1984 after completing medical school and a residency in dermatology at the University of Colorado Denver. She has continued to teach students and residents at Veteran¡¯s Hospital since that time, and is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Denver Hospital.

Dr. Reed has been active with the Colorado Dermatologic Society, serving as President in 1989. She also served as President of the Denver Medical Society in 1994-1995 and President of the Women¡¯s Dermatologic Society in 1998. She was on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology from 1998-2002, and on the Board of Directors of Copic, a physician-owned medical malpractice company, from 1997-2008.  

Dr. Reed is the author of 24 scientific publications and a number of essays on practice philosophy and problems of integrating private practice in a managed care environment. She has lectured frequently on the topic of "Pregnancy, Drugs and the Dermatologist." 

Dr. Reed received the Philpott Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence from the Department of Dermatology, UCHSC, in 1990. She also received the University of Colorado Hospital Medical Staff Outstanding Clinical Physician Award in 2001, the Gold Triangle Award from the American Academy of Dermatology in 2002 for Outstanding Dedication to Isotretinoin issues, and Presidential Citation Awards in 2003 and 2004 from the American Academy of Dermatology. She currently serves on the Health Committee for the Rose Community Foundation and continues to teach at Veteran¡¯s Hospital.

Her passion is for dance, especially ballet. She enjoys taking classes and watching others perform.  She has three grandchildren who live in Greenwood Village and who teach her about love and happiness.

 

Dr. Peggy B. LiaoDr. Peggy B. Liao

Dr. Peggy Liao joined the Denver Skin Clinic in 2010. She completed a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan after attending medical school at Duke University, and graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry at the University of Michigan. She is a volunteer Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Colorado, and also volunteers at the Stout Street Clinic providing dermatology care for the underprivileged.

Dr. Liao is a board certified dermatologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In her spare time, she likes to travel, read, root for her favorite college teams (Go Blue, Go Duke & Go Irish!) and partake in the many great outdoor activities in Colorado, including hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cruiser bike riding and camping.
